CUPE represents a large number of staff from Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board. This includes Educational Assistants, Office Administrators, Library Technicians, Custodial Staff, Early Childhood Educators, IT Field Technicians and some Catholic Education Centre Staff.
At this point in time, we do not know fully what will transpire on Friday as these negotiations are currently taking place at the provincial level. There are conflicting messages in the media about what will occur on Friday. Please know that we will continue to communicate with you as soon as we receive updated information. To be prepared for any eventuality, we suggest that you have a plan in place for alternate child care arrangements on Friday, November 4, 2022 in case it should be required.
We very much appreciate your understanding and thank you for your ongoing commitment to Catholic education. As circumstances change we will continue to communicate with you. Again, we still remain hopeful and pray that a settlement can be reached before Friday.
